Santosh, played by Rishi Kapoor, is a school teacher in Delhi and teaches math at a local school. He lives with his wife Kusum, played by Neetu Kapoor and a teenager college going daughter as well as a school going son. They all have immense expectations from their father but the salary which Santosh receives from teaching in school isn’t enough and he starts working in a coaching classes after school to make extra money. Somehow the family sails through and makes ends meet.
One fine day Santosh gets a wedding invitation from his sister Urmi who lives in Meerut. The family is excited as well as stressed about the expenditure for it. However they all decide to go for the wedding by borrowing their neighbor’s car. On the way back however, the car gets damaged and they have to pay a big amount for its repairs. Fed up of being taunted by all that he cannot ever afford a car, Santosh goes right ahead and buys one. Now his daughter has to take up a job at a call center, his son confesses to his gambling success and he himself is forced to accept bribes when offered to pay for the vehicle.
The movie is directed by Habib Faisal and produced by Arindam Chaudhuri. The music is composed by Anjan Ankit and Meet Bros.
