After a corrupt official is hanged and killed, the police receive a CD from a man who calls himself ‘Gabbar’ and vows to finish all dishonest officers and people who dupe the public of their money and harass them. The police driver Sadhuram, played by Sunil Grover decides to find out the real identity of Gabbar but is ridiculed by his seniors. Undeterred he still goes on in his mission.
Gabbar or Aditya, played by Akshay Kumar falls in love with Shruti, played by Shruti Hassan. She has an accident one day and is take by Aditya to the hospital. There he notices that in spite of not badly being hurt the doctors still insist on taking expensive tests. Meanwhile at the hospital Aditya notices a woman mourning her husbands death but the doctors insist that a few tests and an operation will save his life. But the woman is in shock since she already has his post mortem report in her hand. Aditya tells her to play along with the doctors and later after they prepare a hefty bill in Lakhs, he tells the doctors that they were pretending to treat a dead man to make money. He records it all on his mobile phone and releases the video. This infuriates the owner of the hospital Digvijay, realizes he is the same officer he had killed 5 years ago.
Aditya is remembers how he was married to Sunaina, but she got killed during a building collapse and he collects all the evidence of the faulty building against Digvijay who thinks he has killed him but a bunch of medical students save his life and he returns to take revenge and make this country a better place. Gabbar is Back is directed by Krish and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Shabinaa Khan. The music is composed by Chirantan Bhatt and Yo Yo Honey Singh.
