Against her mother's desires, Aparna (Geetha) decides to become a teacher. At school, Aparna meets Abhimanyu, a new pupil whose father is Yatheendran (Mammootty), a famous writer she once dated. Her life served as the basis for his newest play. Before a mystery guy named Jagadeesh Nair (Mohanlal) returned from the USA and claimed to be Abhimanyu's biological father, Aparna raised Abhimanyu as her own child. Later, Aparna discovered that Abhimanyu was the son of her late twin sister, who was also Jagadeesh's wife.
