Champak Lal, played by Manoj Joshi is a match-maker and also organizes weddings successfully but his business starts to suffer after his son Mansukh joins in. He unintentionally has wrecked many marriages and his dad fed up of him throws him out of the business and house. Dejected he goes to his friend Jeevanlal and in a freak accident meets a don’s daughter Indu, played by Asin. Indu is the daughter of TT, who is desperately looking for a suitable groom for her. On knowing that Mansukh is a match-maker he gives him the responsibility of finding her a groom.
Mansukh suggests the perfect man for her will be Bahattar Singh, played by Akshay Kumar. TT comes to meet Bahattar and his family and they all pretend to be cops. Meanwhile Bahattar tries hard to woo Indu but to no avail, since she already has a boyfriend called Azad, but in jail some the silly crimes he keeps committing. Bahattar helps Azad escape from jail to be with Indu and she develops a soft corner for his actions. Later when Azad tries to slap her, Bahattar stops him and she starts to fall for him and leaves Azad.
When Bahattar and Indu decide to get married, an infuriated Azad crashes into the wedding and tries to abduct Indu but is rescued by Bahattar. TT finally sees which man is perfect for his daughter and blesses Indu and Bahattar and they finally unite. The movie is directed by Ashish R Mohan and produced by Twinkle Khanna, Himesh Reshammiya, Sunil Lulla and M P Singh. The music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
