A news reporter comes to a remote village where there is a unique custom followed on Duserra. In this tradition ony the Effie of Meghnath and Kubhkaran is burnt along with that of Raavan. When the journalist reaches the village, he comes to know of a woman named Ganga who is deeply in love with a ruthless and cruel man named Raavan. She has made it her mission in life to change the Raavan into a Ram. The film is directed and produced by Johny Bakshi. The music is composed by Jagjit Singh and the story is written by Johny Bakshi. The cinematography is by Pravin Bhatt. The star cast includes Vikram, Smita Patil, Gulshan Grover and Om Puri.
