A young man has been abandoned at a young age and lives off the streets. He is very often bullied and asked about his religion and name. So he goes to a local priest and asks him what his name is. The priest simple says ‘Ram Jaane’ meaning god knows, and he takes it literally and starts calling himself Ram Jaane from then on. He becomes a notorious criminal nd goon of the city. He is then arrested for a petty crime and after being released teaches other young children of the locality how not to get into trouble and stay away from crime. Meanwhile Ram falls in love with his childhood sweetheart Bela but is heartbroken to find that she has already fallen in love with another man.
The movie is directed by Rejjev Mehra and produced by Parvesh Mehra. The music is composed by Anu Malikan lyrics are written by Anand Bakshi. The story and dialogues are written by Vinay Shukla. The star cast includes Shahrukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, Vivek Mushran,Pankaj Kapoor,Puneet Issar,Gulshan Grover,Tinnu Anand,Deven Verma and Amrita Pal.
