“Game Changer” is a Telugu-language political action movie directed by S. Shankar and produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations. The movie features Ram Charan in a dual role, along with Kiara Advani, Anjali, S. J. Suryah, Srikanth, Sunil, Jayaram, and Samuthirakani.
“Ram Nandan” (Ram Charan) passes the UPSC exam to become a District Magistrate and is assigned to Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. But before joining, he is attacked by goons hired by his college rival, who is involved in illegal sand mining on behalf of Minister Bobbili Mopidevi. Mopidevi, the son of Chief Minister Bobbili Sathyamoorthy, aspires to become CM but is afraid that his elder brother will be picked instead.
Years back, Ram had done his medical studies but had a bad temper, driving away his beloved “Deepika” (Kiara Advani). She encouraged him to become an IAS officer rather than entering the police force. He fails in his first attempt but later passes and starts hunting for her.
Ram traces Deepika in an old-age home, and both of them are reunited with each other. At the same time, Parvathy, an elderly woman, stops a political rally and reveals Sathyamoorthy's previous atrocities.
But as Ram takes office as Chief Minister, rumors start to circulate. Some think Mopidevi's fall was too conveniently planned. Others wonder at Parvathy's sudden choice to end her life. Did Ram actually win based on his own merit, or was there some other hidden hand at work? As the celebrations rage, one nagging question remains; was this really a game changer, or merely another game being played?
"Game Changer" was released on 10 January 2025 and received mixed-to-negative reception. It is now featured in the latest movie list in the political action genre.
