The story of Silsiilay revolves around the love lives of three women who have found nothing but disappointment and sadness in them. The first couple is Zia, played by Bhumika Chawla and Neel, played by Rahul Bose. Zia is an aspiring movie actress who has been groomed by Neel. They are deeply in love and Zia wants to take the relationship further and have a child with Neel. However he is reluctant and doesn’t want any responsibilities yet. This has put a lot of strain on their relationship.
Anushka, played by Ria Sen loves Nikhil, played by Ashmit patel, who is a wealthy businessman but he hardly gives her any importance, which has made her be attracted to Tarun, played by Jimmy Shergill, who is her silent admirer in her office. Rehana, played by Tabu is a devoted and loving wife to Anwar, played by Kay Kay Menon. But she realizes that he is having an affair with a young airhostess named Preeti, played by Celina Jaitley.
The movie is directed by Khalid Mohamed and produced by Vashu Bhagnani. The music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya. The cinematography is by Santosh Sivan.
