Rahul is born in an affluent and well to do family in England with every luxury at his disposal. On the same day Baalu is born somewhere in India to a middle class Brahmin family. Rahul’s parents pass away at a young age and he is brought up by his over protective grandfather. He wishes to go to India to visit the place his parents met and see their grave. Reluctantly his grandfather grants him permission but only with his guardians sent along. At the airport, Rahul tricks his guardians and escapes in a taxi. The taxi is driven by non other than Baalu. They both become good friends.
Rahul who bored of his extravagant life decides to switch places with Baalu and starts driving the taxi, while Baalu goes to live in his hotel and is groomed by his guardian. Meanwhile Rahul falls in love with Baalu’s sister Paro and Baalu falls for one of Rahul’s company investor’s daughter Pooja. Baalu meanwhile comes to know that Rahul’s company is going in losses due to corrupt managers and sets things straight. Later Rahul and Baalu join forces to save the formers company.
The movie is directed by Joy Augestin and produced by Amitabh Bachchan. The music is composed by Veeju Shah and the lyrics are written by Anand Bakshi. The story of the movie is written by Bharat Rangachari. The star cast includes Chandrachur Singh, Arshad Warsi, Simran, Priya Gill, A K Hangal, Pran, K D Chandran, Bal Dhuri, Yunus Perwaiz, Suresh Malhotra, Pappu Polyester, Sulbha Arya.
