“Tiger 3” (2023) is an action thriller directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The fifth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, it follows the events of War and Pathaan while revisiting the shared past of Tiger (Salman) and Zoya (Katrina Kaif). The film introduces a new mission with Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist and features a special cameo by Shah Rukh Khan, which received widespread acclaim.
Things become quite personal for the couple when their rogue ISI handle and Zoya’s former mentor, “Aatish Rehman” (Emraan Hashmi), stars playing his dirty games against the Pakistani government and involves the Indian intelligence, with the end result that he threatens to destabilize both countries. So Tiger and Zoya have to move through deception and high stakes to save the day.
Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo as “Pathaan” is a highlight of the movie and the much-awaited crossover moment for fans. Pathaan enters in style, through a ropeway, taking down soldiers to assist Tiger in an action sequence. The performance of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif is impeccable, and Emraan Hashmi's performance as a complicated bad man is a value addition to the story.
