Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur starrer war movie "Pippa" has been released today. The movie is receiving mixed reviews from the audience. Although one thing viewers are not happy with is a song from the movie "Karar Oi Louho Kopat." The song is a remake of an iconic Bengali protest song Written and composed by rebellious poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. The powerful representation of protesters's spirit gives goosebumps. Karar Oi Louho Kopat is also known for being one of the favourite songs of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

AR Rahman’s version of Karar Oi Louho Kopat from Pippa is receiving criticism from fans. People are expressing disappointment by stating the remake of the song is nothing like the original version and lacks the true and raw  “essence”. Many said that the new version has destroyed the element of the original song.

Viewers are strongly expressing their disappointment in the comment section of the song. One user wrote "Sir, this is not expected from you... This is an iconic song, you can't do whatever you want with it. Please don't disrespect our legends. I and the whole Bengali community strongly condemn this audacity." Another wrote, "Can't believe that AR Rahman could destroy such a Beautiful song like this!!!

This is what we didn’t expect from AR Rahman!!"

Further, one more user joined and wrote, "This song is an emotion for all of us(Bengalis). It's disheartening to see this mass song getting this treatment. The tune is of a happy nature, while it's a song that is solely based on independence, it was written to motivate the revolutionaries. Deeply saddened. This  song runs in our blood man."

Pippa is directed by Raja Krishna Menon. The movie revolves around the Indo-Pakistani war of 1971. Ishaan Khatter plays the protagonist in the movie and also stars Priyanshu Painyuli, Soni Razdan, Mrunal Thakur, and Inaamulhaq.
