Crafted by the legendary musical duo Ajay Atul the anthem is more than a song it is a sonic tribute to the great Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. 


The newly released footage captures the raw energy and the craft that is meticulously within the recording studios, however the thunderous resonance of the traditional dhol Tasha to the soaring orchestra arrangements in the video shows Ajay Atul in their highest elements pushing their boundaries to create a devotional and cinematic music behind the melodic storm. 


What to expect from the Anthem titled Chhatrapati. 


It is an epic at a high scale, a fusion of traditional Marathi folk with a grand cinematic score that is soul stirring with its powerful choral measures taken to evoke the grit and the glory of the great Marathi Emperor.


Raja Shivaji will create a cultural milestone and with much anticipation, will reach a fever pitch that the anthem Chhatrapati that is serving as the heartbeat of the film’s promotional campaign.    It isn’t just the sound track from the movie that is giving goose bumps but it is the call to the roots.

Stirring glimpse of the thumping anthem that carries a powerful landscape crat for the extravagant big screen experience, is composed by Ajay Atul for Raja Shivaji, slated for its release on 13th April 2026. 


Raja Shivaji will bring together an ensemble including Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Boman Irani, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi, Amole Gupte, Genelia Deshmukh and Riteish Deshmukh. 


Raja Shivaji is presented by Jio Studios, is being produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Genelia Deshmukh. The historical epic is based on the life and the legacy of the great Marathi emperor, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. 


Slated for its release on May 1st 2026 in Marathi and Hindi. The film is expected to bring an epic to life that celebrates India’s history with a grand scale and is going to be a spectacular film with the music.
