Mirzapur happens to be the first OTT series to be shot into a film format too. The makers have decided to go with the plan to shoot the film Mirzapur and the series season 4 simultaneously so that the narrative continues between both formats.


The movie Directed by Gurmmeet Singh is written by Puneet Krishna, starring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Shweta Tripathi Sharma. Both formats will begin shooting in September 2025.


Shooting a Film and a series simultaneously is devised for the utilisation of bulk dates from the actors since taking dates again and again is not possible. The makers have already taken dates from the actors, including Divyenndu, Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal and Vijay Varma. The film will be mounted on a big scale, although it will have the same raw energy that the series has.


Season 4 will take off from where the earlier season ended. The shoot of both formats will be taking place in Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai.
