Akanksha Puri

m Devi Ahilya University in Indore and then went on to become an airhostess with the Kingfisher Airlines.  

She is a model and actress and daughter of R.K. Puri, retired assistant police commissioner and her mother is Chitra Puri, an astrologer.  Her brother is Amitesh Puri, a businessman.

Akanksha Puri has acted in television shows and was a contestant of reality television show Bigg Boss -Season 2 and entered as one of the 12 other contestants.  Akanksha took up modelling projects while she worked as a cabin crew with Kingfisher Airlines.   She was a model for Vasan Eye Care in 2011 and was also spotted by Studio Green who gave her the role in the 2013 Tamil action-comedy film Alex Pandian in which she made her debut in the Tamil films.

Puri made her debut in Hindi films with Madhur Bhandarkar’s 2015 drama film Calendar Girls. She played the female lead role. The music was composed by Meet Bros Amijan and Amaal Malik.  The film was released on September 25th, 2015. The film Calendar Girls  is a fiction 25% and a reality of 75% 

In 2017 she was cast as Mata Adiparashakti in Vignaharta. Akanksha is the winner of the show Swayamvar – Mik Di Vohti.  Akanksha Puri is best known for her television shows and music videos.  She had gained a wide spread recognition for portraying of Goddess Parvati.  Akanksha has worked in multiple language films such as Tamil, Malayalam and Bollywood films.

Among the films that Akanksha Puri acted in were in the 2013 Alex Pandian in Tamil, Praise the Lord in 2014 which was a Malayalam film, in 2015 besides the Calendar Girls in which she acted as Nandita Menon, she was Gouri in Amar Akbar Anthony a Malayalam cameo film, she acted in the 2019 action film, 2024 in the film Rajaram which was a Bhojpuri.

Akanksha was also a part of few web series in 2023, in Hindi language, Inspector Avinash and Honey Trap Squad. In 2024, she acted in Dons & Darlings a Hindi web series.

She did a few television shows such as CID in 2015, Vignaharta Ganesh between 2017-2020. In 2019, Big Boss 13, Big Boss 15, Swayamvar, Mika Di Vohti and in 2023 as Big Boss OTT 2, Jahaan Tum Ho in 2017 and Dancing Doll, in 2019, Chitthi and in 2020 Main Balak Tu Mata and Main Jis Din Bhula Doon and Hare Krisha Hare, Dangerous, Bewafa Tera Muskurana, Mere Warga, Jaa Rahe Ho and Ishq Hi Hai, don’t know you, Dua Karo until 2023.  In 2024 Latak Jaiba.
