Prem, played by Shahid Kapoor is studying abroad and his elder brother Sunil, played by Samir Soni is happily married. Their father Harishchandra, played by Anupam Kher arranges Prem’s wedding to Poonam, played by Amrita Rao. After some awkward moments, Prem and Poonam warm up to each other and start talking. They soon become friends and fall in love. Their wedding date is fixed and the preparation is now in full swing. Meanwhile Prem and Poonam talk on the phone and get to know each other better.


Everything seems to be going fine until one day a fire breaks out at Poonam’s house and while saving her cousin sister, Poonam gets badly burned. She is rushed to the hospital, where the doctors declare her condition is very bad to have the wedding and put it on hold. Her uncle who she lives with informs Prem’s family about the tragedy. Prem decides to marry her anyways in spite of her burns and finally her surgery is performed, which is successful and they finally get officially married.


The movie is directed by Sooraj R Barjatya and produced by Ajit Kumar Barjatya, Kamal Kumar Barjatya and Rajkumar Barjatya. The music is composed by Ravindra Jain.

Great script and Amrita's acting was too good..
