Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, “Zanjeer” is a Bollywood action thriller featuring Ram Charan, Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt, Prakaj Raj and Mahie Gill in the lead roles. Zanjeer is the story of idealistic cop, Vijay Khanna (Ram Charan) wanting to bring criminals to the book. The clout of Don’s and ministers within the administration leads to the transfer of the honest policeman Vijay, 17 times within Andhra Pradesh. In his 18thassignment in Mumbai, the Assistant Commissioner of police takes on an oil mafia don, Teja (Prakash Raj). Vijay is gunning after Teja who incidentally happens to be his parent’s murderer. Uninhibited killings happen on Mumbai streets making it seem as if the entire police force except Vijay is asleep. Priyanka Chopra plays Mala, NRI who lands in India to attend a Facebook friends wedding, becomes the witness to a murder by Teja’s gang. Since Mala is too scared to testify, Vijay gives her shelter in his home that marks their relationship.
