The Indian entertainment industry, the Cine and TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA) is all set to relocate its office from Karthik Complex in Andheri to the impressive five-storeyed CINTAA Tower in Four Bungalows, Andheri. The grand inauguration of this new headquarters is scheduled for October 24, with veteran actress Asha Parekh doing the honors. The event will also see the presence of notable figures, including filmmaker Subhash Ghai as the guest of honor, along with renowned actors Shabana Azmi, Raj Babbar, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Pankaj Tripathi, Johnny Lever, and Annu Kapoor.

The journey to this momentous move is a testament to the relentless efforts of yesteryear superstars who envisioned and financed this state-of-the-art facility. Amit Behl, the general secretary of CINTAA, reveals that legends like Dilip Kumar, Sunil Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty, Amjad Khan, and Asha Parekh played a pivotal role in making this dream a reality. Back in 1991, they established the Cine Artiste Welfare Trust (CAWT) as a sister concern of CINTAA, with the mission of gathering donations for the betterment of artistes. The CINTAA Tower is a remarkable project born from CAWT's vision. Several years ago, this esteemed group of stars secured a parcel of land on the Juhu-Versova Link Road with the intent to construct a tower for CINTAA members. However, due to coastal regulation zone constraints, they had to relinquish that land, eventually receiving the current plot as a replacement. The foundation stone of the tower was laid by the late Dilip Kumar and Aamir Khan in 2011. Their contribution was so significant that the organizers had hoped to have the iconic Saira Banu attend the inauguration, but her health has kept her away.

The new CINTAA Tower is a cutting-edge building that caters to the needs of its members. It features a welfare center, well-equipped conference rooms, a cafeteria, and workshop spaces. The 'Wall of Fame' in the cafeteria serves as a poignant reminder of the bygone legends in their full glory. Amit Behl shares the organization's future plans: "We will create a similar wall on the ground floor, adorned with images of contemporary stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and many more."

The relocation of CINTAA's office from Karthik Complex to the new CINTAA Tower marks a significant chapter in the history of the Indian entertainment industry. With the support of veteran stars and the foresight of the Cine Artiste Welfare Trust, the organization is well-positioned to continue serving the interests and welfare of artists, both past and present. This move symbolizes the seamless blend of tradition and progress that defines the world of Indian cinema and television.
