Janhvi Kapoor the Bollywood actress is creating waves in the Telugu film industry in a big way. She is one of the highest paid actresses in Telugu Cinema. She demanded a whopping 14 crore fee for her Telugu film Peddi opposite Ram Charan and has signed for a female centric Tamil web series with Netflix with a very impressive 20 crore fee.

The Netflix project is helmed by the acclaimed filmmaker Pa Ranjith who is known for directing hits like Kabali and Kaala with the veteran actor Rajinikanth. The collaboration marks, Janhvi Kapoor’s new venture into Tamil content which is expected to be a powerful performance driven role. 

Janhvi Kapoor clearly dominating the South Indian Entertainment landscape. 

Janhvi began her journey in South Indian films with Devara in 2024. Hesitant to enter a regional cinema due to her own concerns, and if it would affect her Hindi film career, however her father, the producer Boney Kapoor encouraged her to take the leap. The producers in South were more than willing to negotiate with a substantial pay check to the young actress that she had demanded.  

With a strategic move and the choice of films she has had a record-breaking remuneration to her credit, clearly making Janhvi one of the highest paid stars of the Southern Entertainment.
