Kangana Ranaut starrer Tejas is released in theatres on 27th October clashing with Vikrant Massey’s 12th fail. This aerial drama had a slow start on its first day at the box office, but it showed little growth in the numbers after its first weekend. 

Tejas box office collection day 4: The movie had a slow start at the box office with a collection of a total of ₹ 1.25 crore nationwide as per Sacnik.com. On Saturday it made progress by 4% in a collection and managed to make ₹ 1.3 crore. On Sunday Tejas recorded 8.37% occupancy for the Hindi language. The movie made the same amount as Saturday on Sunday which is ₹ 1.3 crore as per expectations it didn't showcase any growth on the weekend. Today it stands still ₹ 0.54 crore and is anticipated to earn more by the end of the day. In total Tejas is standing low at ₹ 4.39 crore total box office collection since its release day.

Kangana’s Tejas clashed with Vikrant Massey's movie 12th Fail and as per the reports, 12th Fail has done better as compared to Tejas. While praising the content of the movie Film industry analyst Taran Adarsh shared his reports on the movie’s success on X (Twitter). He wrote “CONTENT IS KING, AUDIENCES ARE KING MAKERS… #12thFail flies on Day 3, packs a HEALTHY SCORE in Weekend 1, the glowing word of mouth has come into play… The pre-#Diwali phase + #INDvsENG #CWC2023 haven’t impacted its biz… Fri 1.10 cr, Sat 2.50 cr, Sun 3.10 cr. Total: ₹ 6.70 cr [on 600 screens]. #India biz." Tejas has collectively made ₹ 4.39 crore whereas 12th Fail made in total ₹ 7.74 crore and is set to earn more on its 4th day.

Directed by Sarvesh Mewara Tejas received both negative and positive reviews from the audience. The movie narrates an extraordinary story of  Tejas Gill, an Air Force pilot. The movie sheds light on the difficulties Air Force pilots go through to defend our nation.

Posting a video of herself on Social media Kangana Ranaut urged her fans to support her movie; She captioned the post saying "Even before Covid, theatrical footfalls were dipping drastically post covid it has become seriously rapid. Many theatres are shutting down and even after free tickets and many reasonable offers drastic footfall decline is continuing. Requesting people to watch films in theatres and enjoy them with family and friends or else they (theatres) won’t be able to survive. Thanks (sic)."

Tejas is the fifth movie in a row of Kangana Ranaut which has failed to gather an audience in theatres after Panga, Thalaivii, Dhaakad and Chandramukhi 2.
