Adivi Sesh

Adivi Sesh is known for his acting; he is also a director and a writer.

He is a prominent film personality in Telugu cinema. Known for his work in action and thrillers he has received awards such as IIFA Award Telugu, SIIMA Award and Nandi Award. He has also won the first Gaddar Award for his role in Major.

Adivi Sesh made his film debut in 2002 with a small guest appearance role in Sontham movie which starred Aryan Rajesh and Namitha. In 2010 he essayed the lead role and directed the film karma, a romantic film which stars Jade Tailor and Sher Ali . Sesh portrayed the role of Dev who can foresee events mere few seconds before it actually happens. His role was well appreciated. However, he gained recognition for his antagonistic roles in Panjaa in 2011, Balupu in 2013, and a supporting role in the blockbuster film, Baahubali: The Beginning in 2015 . Adivi established himself as the lead in commercial and critical successful films such as Donagaata in 2015, Kshanam in 2016, Ami Thumi in 2017, Goodachari in 2018, Evaru in 2019, Major in 2022 and Hit: The Second Case in 2022.

His scripting skills also faced appreciation for the choice of unconventional path and the novel themes he chooses to write and infuse something new in the Telugu films.

In the film Panjaa directed by Vishnuvardhan, Sesh portrayed the role of Munna a wealthy NRI spoilt brat and a dangerous person to those around him. This marked the beginning of his villain roles in the films. Though he was playing a negative role, his performance was much appreciated.

In 2016, Adivi Sesh starred in the film Kshanam the story and screenplay was written by him with Ravikanth Perepu the director of the film Kshanam. Sesh rejected more than 50 scripts that were offered to him in the lead role. He then appeared in a cameo role in Size Zero and in Karthi starrer film Oopiri. He also appeared in Ami Thumi a comedy film and Goodachari an action thriller film released in 2018 August which went on to be a super hit.

He then did a special appearance in Oh Baby starring Samantha Akkineni and in the suspense thriller Evaru written and directed by Venkat Ramji which was released on August 15th 2019. The film went on to become a hit running in theatres for more than 4 weeks in theatres.

His film Major a, biopic on Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan released on June 3rd 2022 for which he received several accolades. It went on to become a commercial hit. Sesh confirmed the sequel of his 2018 spy thriller Goodachari and in the investigation drama called HIT: The Second case. The film did a critical success at the box office.

Adivi has two major pan-India projects scheduled in 2026, the romantic action thriller Dacoit releasing on April 10, 2026 which he is alongside Mrunal Thakur directed by Shaneil Deo. He is also in the high stakes spy thriller sequel G2 Goodachari 2 which is slated for its release on May 1st 2026. Sesh has continued his trend of acting and writing on projects with intense storytelling and is focused with high octane action films.
