Hafeez, played by Ritesh Deshmukh and Praveen, played by Pulkit Samrat belong to Bangistan. Hafeez is known for his big beard and works as a telemarketer with the name ‘Harold’. Praveen is very religious and hunts down anyone who insults his god’s name. They have common boss, who makes them go to Poland for an important mission and hosting a completion for the world’s best bombers.
Fearing being caught they change their names to Allah Rakha Khan and Ishwarchand Sharma. In spite of being arrested they still manage to go to Poland and learn to be expert bombers. They both meet a girl called Rosie, played by Jacqueline Fernandez and fall in love with her. She however confesses on not following any specific religion.
One night when bonding over a drink Hafeez and Praveen get into a fight and a bomb accidentally explodes that Praveen was making. Injured they both are taken to the hospital where they are known to be terrorists. Meanwhile another bomber Zulfi, played by Arya Babbar is trained. Hafeez realizes that this killings in the name of religion isn’t right and Praveen seems to agree but reluctantly. Zulfi’s bomb later explodes, injuring Praveen and Hafeez who are declared hero’s this time round.
Bangistan is directed by Karan Anshuman and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The music is composed by Ram Sampath.
