Raja is a happy go luck man and takes life one day at a time. He has this dream of getting rich and successful and thinks of ways to do so. One day he comes to know that the city’s well known doctor, Dr. Shekhar is a carbon copy of him. Thus Raja takes a risk and starts to impersonate the medical professional. However when he realizes that the doctor himself has many issues that he is tackling with himself, he regrets taking over his life. He know has to get out of the mess he has created for himself. The film is directed by B S Glaad and produced by Tony Glaad.
The music is composed by R D Burman and the cinematography is by G Or Nathan. The star cast includes Rajesh Khanna, Hema Malini, Reena Roy, Prem Nath,Iftekhar, Johnny Walker, Roopesh Kumar, Om Shivpuri, Jagdeep and Mukri.
