Mahi is known as Mayavi because of his sneaky, covert fighting style against wicked guys. He finds himself in jail a lot. He becomes acquainted with another prisoner named Balan while he is doing his sentence. Balan's brother is hospitalized with a serious illness and requires an expensive procedure. Mahi is chosen as the lone fortunate prisoner to receive a pardon and be released on Independence Day in the meanwhile. Balan can't offer the money from inside the prison, and his release date is a long way off, so Mahi pledges to find a method to get it.
