Taran, played by Neha Sharma, is overcome by grief at losing her fiancé Amar, played by AAshim Gulati on a skiing accident. While she’s nursing her broken heart she gets a welcome surprise in her life when a boy called Shekhar, played by Aditya Seal enters. She and Shekhar become good friends and eventually they fall in love and start dating. Reluctantly Taran decides to move on with her life and tries to forget about Amar.
Just when everything seems to become normal again with Taran, life gives her another rude shock when she learns that Amar had survived the accident and was in a coma all these years. After Amar comes back Taran tells her all about Shekhar and a heartbroken Amar walks away, but still in love with Taran. Shekhar soon notices that she too seems to be missing Amar and he gets upset and stops communicating with her.
Meanwhile Shekhar decides to leave the country, but Taran’s father informs her that Amar’s accident happened because of Shekhar and even though he knew it all along he thought meeting Shekhar would lessen Taran’s grief a bit.
Finally they meet Amar, Taran and her father meet Shekhar at the airport and he appologises for what he did and bids goodbye. Tum Bin 2 is directed by Anubhav Sinha and produced by Kishore Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Anubhav Sinha. The music is composed by Ankit Tiwari and Nikhil-Vinay.
