Ananya Birla officially unveiled Birla Studios a few days ago positioning the banner as a champion with both commercial entertainment and also for storytelling concept.   She has personally initiated conversations with Anees Bazmee and Shoojit Sircar expressing her admiration for their cinematic experience and sensibilities and they together align the studio’s creative vision. 

Both the filmmakers are impressed with Ananya Birla’s clarity, her passion for cinema and her long-term planning and outlook towards the industry. 

Talks are on underway on negotiations and that is expected to conclude smoothly between the trio, while they formalize their association with the banner. 

Birla Studios is developing a diverse multi language which is slatted to be in Hindi, Gujarati, Malayalam and few other regional languages. It will also cover the International English language projects.  The newly developed Birla Studios is an ambitious development to tell culturally rooted stories with global resonance.  An official announcement unveiling the first project is expected to be revealed soon.

The launch emphasized her belief on the powerful storytelling medium in cinema stating that Birla Studios aims at curating films that will strike a balance between the cultural depth and strong entertainment value. While nurturing new talent, it will also strengthen fresh and diverse voices.  

With the ambitious plans underway by Birla Studios, Ananya Birla appears poised to make a significant mark in collaboration with Shoojit Sircar and Anees Bazmee on the Indian cinema.

Meanwhile Anees Bazmee is currently working on his own project starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Raashii Khanna while Shoojit Sircar is working on a mytho horror film featuring Manoj Bajpayee, Rajkummar Rao, Vineet Kumar Singh and Saurabh Shukla. 

Neeraj Pandey announced his next Ghooskhor Pandat to be released on Netflix. The film will star Manoj Bajpayee and is directed by Ritesh Shah. The teaser had sparked a controversy with a certain section of the society for its title and Neeraj Pandey was asked to pull down the promotional material to respect a certain community who had found the name Ghookhor Pandat as offensive to communal insensitivity.  It had also prompted the makers and Netflix to withdraw the campaign material while it was also suggested the title of the film has to be changed.
