The film focuses on the intense moments of the 2008 Mumbai attacks that unfolds inside the Mumbai hospital on November 26, 2008.   During the attack when Ajmal Kasab and Ismail Khan stormed the premises, security guards were killed and several staff members of the hospital were injured as the dreadful terrorist attempted to seize the control of the building. 


The upcoming film Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata focuses on bravery and highlight on the blue-collar staff who risked their lives to save the patients. 


Despite facing the grave danger, the hospital workers had quickly taken all measures to protect the patients. They had shut the windows and doors switched off the lights and turned off the mobile phones to avoid detection by the terrorists. They also moved patients to the safer areas while they continued their duty amid the chaos which was very tough on them yet they did their best to take charge and bring the hospital in control. 


During the terror attacks the hospital had become the critical location in the early hours of the attack.  The intense gunfire had erupted between the Mumbai Police and the terrorists in the surrounding areas around the hospital. 


Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata to bring attention to the unsung heroes


The film that is highlighted to bring attention to the unsung heroes in the 2008 terrorist attack. The bravery of the hospital staff on that fateful and most tragic nights of India has played a vital part in the film. 


Kangana Ranaut will appear as the courageous nurse alongside Girija Oak also in a key role. The actor is also known for her brilliant performances in films like Shor in the City, Qala and Jawan. 


The film is directed by Manoj Tapadia .  He began his career as a copywriter before he moved into advertising and filmmaking.  The film also marks his directorial debut and will be a cinematic tribute to the unsung heroes. The maker is in talks regarding the post production with the release end of 2026. 


Meanwhile Kangana Ranaut will be next seen alongside R Madhavan in the upcoming thriller directed by A L Vijay and is reportedly in talks with Aanand L Rai for Tanu Weds Manu Part 3. The talks are on but the project has not yet been officially confirmed.
