Praan Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye (2003)

Aman Joshi, played by Aman Verma is on a very important assignment where he is researching on the chawl occupants in Mumbai city. To get into the skin of his research and leaving no stone unturned, Aman rents out a small dwelling among the chawl dwellers and starts to observe and talk to them. After a while Aman gets so involved into their lives that he becomes a part of their society. Aman even falls in love with a simple girl called Suman, played by Rinke Khanna. However the slum people also assume that Aman is very rich and will be generous enough to give them money and gifts. They then begin to hound him day and night for monetary help, gifts or anything that they can get from Aman. Aman now is in a very tricky position. One day everyone’s life at the slums is turned upside down when the owner of the property Praveen Seth, played by Sachin Khedekar, decides to run a bulldozer over the houses to make a high priced property in its place. The slum dwellers are in a soup and so is Aman.
