Archana Puran Singh

Archana made her debut in Nari Hira’s television movie ‘Abhishek’ opposite Aditya Pancholi in 1987. She has acted opposite Nasiruddin Shah in Jalwa, done minor roles in big banner films like Agneepath (1990), Saudagar (1991), Shola Aur Shabnam (1992), Aashiq Awaara (1993), Raja Hindustani (1996).

Archana has also done some item song numbers (Baaz, Judge Mujrim), supporting roles in films like Mohabbatein (Preeto), Love Story 2050, Krish, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai(she is best known for her role as Miss Braganza), Masti, Bol Bachchan. Archana has been a Television Anchor for the program ‘wah Kya Scene Hai’ (Zee Tv),’Uncensored’(where she introduced the high and low society), Sitcoms like Jaane Bhi Do Paro, Shriman Shrimati  & Archana Talkies on Sony Tv India.

She has received offers from television producers to host chat shows featuring celebrity stars. In 2005 she has been a contestant along with her husband Parmeet Sethi in the reality show ‘Nach Baliye’. Both together have hosted a dance show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa” (Season 1). In 2015, she was cast as the lead in “The Great Indian Family Drama’ on SAB TV.

Archana has played a role of a ghost in many episodes of Zee Horror show. Her favourite stars are Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan.Her hobbies are Travelling & Reading. Archana has judged a series of comedy circus shows, hosted a show on Star Plus titled Kaho Na Yaar Hai. She has come as a guest in Kapil Sharma’s show on television and taken the place of Navjot Singh Sidhu. Archana is the only person who has judged 18 shows. So far she has acted in 0ne Punjabi film, 3 Tamil films, 1 Telegu film

 

Biography

 

Archana Puransingh was a part of the Global Campaign against the Air Pollution on the eve of the World Environment Day . The campaign was called the “ Beat Air Pollution was sponsored by Moefcc@UN India with Bhamla Foundation.

In 1985 she was the cover girl along with Swaroop Sampath and Neena Gupta.
