Upon the success of the film, ' Om Shanti Om, which proved to be a breakthrough for Deepika, she followed on more success with the Yashraj film , ' Bachna Ae Haseeno' in 2008 with Ranbir Kapoor . She did several films thereafter , Chandni Chowk to China which was a kungfu comedy in which she again plays a dual role of Chinese twin sisters. It had one of the widest international releases ever given to an Indian film . For this film Deepika also learnt the Japanese martial art form of Jujutsu and performed her stunts with ease. Despite the hype the film proved to be a failure and film critics were disappointed with the film and Padukone's performance . She earned back laurels with her film, Love Aaj Kal which documented the film on the changing values of relationship among the youth. she starred opposite to Saif Ali Khan in a romantic triangle storyline. Love Aaj Kal proved to be the third highest grossing film of 2009 for which she received the nomination for Best Actress Award and won the FilmFare Awards for Best Female Debut. Her performance in the films, Lafangey Parindey and Houseful, in 2010 and Bachna Ae Haseeno in 2008 were met with negative reviews. Deepika yet again had a turning point in her film career with the 2012 box Office hit Cocktail which earned her as the Best Actress nominations at several award ceremonies and she rose to prominence with starring rolled in the comedy films, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani  , Chennai Express, Happy New Year , and the historical films, ; Bajirao Mastani, all which were ranked as the highest grossing films. Her acclaimed portrayal of a character based on Juliet in the tragic romantic film, Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, in 2013 and the comedy drama film' Piku' with Amitabh Bachchan, won her two Best Actress Awards at the Filmfare Awards night. Deepika Padukone will soon make her debut to the Hollywood with the fim ' xXx', the Return of Xander Cage and is also considered to be one of the highest paid actresses in the World according to the Forbes Magazine. She believes that as an actor the intentions is always to be a part of a good script and character and that should live on hopefully for many many years. as told by the actress in an interview in Mumbai.
